One of the duties of the interns is the watering of the orchards. We have these ancient old pipes that come in sections that we move around the farm several times a day to keep the trees watered. Before Bryan started farming on this land, the whole place had been orchards, all kinds of trees. Many of them died in the years the land was abandoned, but the ones that survived have graduated to being the big brothers to the baby trees that have been planted and will in some cases not start producing for many years to come. Like our little lime tree, it is fun to think about what the farm will look like 5 to 20 years from now when the little guys are big and happening, bearing fruit. Here is just a sample of some of the fruit trees that are happening now.
